Meet Dr. Annette Oswald

Dr. Annette Oswald is a renowned professor and is an expert in childhood education and development, and educational neuroscience. She touches hundreds of lives of administrators and educators in her community each year with her work. She has dedicated her time to exploring the dynamics of the relationships between families, children, and teachers contributing to early brain development, student success, and life-long fulfillment.

Her commitment to learning about social-emotional learning and educational neuroscience emphasized the many ways the management of behavior and learning increases teacher’s career satisfaction, improves student achievement, and builds healthy family connections.

As the founder/executive director of From The Root Transformative Education, Dr. Annette Oswald believes trauma-responsive social-emotional learning paves pathways to transformational changes in areas of child development through parent-child relationships, parent to parent interactions, parent-teacher connections, and child-teacher relationships.

After a decade of teaching in the classroom, I saw an education system failing educators and children, unintentionally causing

frustration. I felt there had to be a healthier way to navigate the demands of our school systems. The result was From The Root Transformative Education, a brain-based and Trauma-Informed approach to the management of learning and behavior for teachers, school administrators, parents/caregivers, & children."
